FULL SYNOPSIS
In a magical fairytale kingdom, four witches, Raven, Hazel, Befana, and Narcissa constantly argue, misuse their powers, and create chaos. Frustrated by their selfish behavior, the kingdom’s mysterious ruler strips them of their magic and sends them on a journey across the land. Their mission is simple: prove they can work together, show kindness, and help others before sunset, or lose their powers forever.
Along the way, the witches and their sidekicks encounter various fairytale characters facing problems. They help a rebellious Gingerbread Man reconnect with his parents, assist the Three Little Pigs in rebuilding their lives, encourage feuding couples to remember why they love one another, and support Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother in resolving their differences. Through each challenge, the witches gradually learn compassion, teamwork, selflessness, and friendship.
As they near the end of their quest, they begin to believe they have failed. However, the ruler reveals herself to be the tiny but wise Thumbelina, who has secretly watched their journey. She explains that they have successfully demonstrated the qualities she hoped to see: kindness, resilience, love, and cooperation. Their powers are restored, and the story concludes with celebrations, weddings, and the realization that true magic comes not from spells, but from the goodness within.
CHARACTERS – Originally written for 52 named roles plus optional ensemble roles for younger performers. Flexible casting allows roles to be doubled, reduced, or adapted to suit your group, with a recommended cast size of 47–66 performers.
